On May 2nd, we organized a nonpartisan Countywide Candidate Event. In partnership with the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, B-PEP, Point Park University, VEEM, and many other groups, we invited every person running for countywide elected office to join us at Point Park University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse in Downtown Pittsburgh.

During the first segment of the event, candidates were given three minutes to address the crowd, introduce themselves, explain their candidacy, and encourage people to vote on or before May 16th. In the second segment, Josiah Gilliam, Executive Director of PUMP, and Lisa Smith, Director of Community Impact at KDKA, moderated a forum with the Democratic County Executive Candidates.
