Blind & Vision Rehab, YP Networking Event
September 20, 2016 @ 7:00 pm
Join the Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services (BVRS) of Pittsburgh for an exclusive event on September 20, 2016, at Mad Mex – Robinson hosted by BVRS’ Young Professional Network.
This year’s theme is “Fostering Independence through Training”. All money raised will support the Personal Adjustment to Blindness Training Program and allow Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services to purchase items from the Target registry that are needed for the new headquarters located in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood. The training program teaches persons who are blind or vision-impaired how to use their other senses, special equipment and new techniques to live independently. Visit the registry to see how simple items like measuring cups can make a tremendous impact on the life of someone who is blind and vision impaired.
The evening begins at 7 pm and includes a fajita buffet with chips and salsa, casa salad, and wings, plus soft drinks (alcoholic beverages are not included), and a dessert table. There will also be a special raffle and 50/50. Space is limited to the first 48 guests. Registration is easy- simply click here.
