Central – URA Housing Opportunity Fund Community Feedback Meeting
February 14, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Central – Housing Opportunity Fund Community Feedback Meeting
The URA – Housing Opportunity Fund Department will be hosting a series of community meetings throughout the City of Pittsburgh regarding the Housing Opportunity Funds’ first year of operation.
In 2015-2016, the City of Pittsburgh assembled an Affordable Housing Task Force to better understand the affordable housing needs across the City. The Task Force recommended the City establish a Housing Trust Fund which led to the creation of the Pittsburgh Housing Opportunity Fund. The City of Pittsburgh will receive $10 million per year for the next 12 years to address the affordable housing crisis.
Because of community feedback provided during the 2018 Allocation year, the HOF Advisory Board was able to approve the following five programmatic areas:
- Rental Gap Program
- Homeowner Assistance Program
- Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program
- Housing Stabilization Program
- For-Sale Development Program
