Kickball for a Cause

August 6, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Thank you to our Sponsors:

Join us for the 14th annual Kickball for a Cause as we bring together 600+ young people, ages 21+, for a day of kickball and fun! Teams play in round-robin lightening games in the morning/ early afternoon. Winners of each division advance to a single elimination tournament later that day.

Tournament registration is closed but we’re recruiting volunteers to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible! Click HERE to register to volunteer. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, free food and drink, a thank you gift from PUMP, and loads of fun.  You also get the personal satisfaction of knowing that you’re supporting not one, but four great organizations in Pittsburgh.

To ensure everyone has fun, we’ve updated our alcohol, t-shirt, sponsor, and cancellation policies. Click HERE to read each policy in detail.

In addition to a great time, Kickball for a Cause promotes and raises funds for PUMP and Pittsburgh nonprofits whose work focuses on our strategic priorities. With the help of our participants, Kickball for a Cause has raised tens of thousands of dollars for important local organizations.

We’re proud to support the following 2016 Causes:

Diversity & InclusionStrong Women Strong Girls

Strong Women Strong Girls empowers girls to imagine a broader future through a curriculum grounded on female role models delivered by college women mentors, who are themselves mentored by professional women. Visit their website to learn more about Strong Women Strong Girl’s mission and model.

Education & EmploymentOrange Arrow

Orange Arrow is a non-profit organization whose mission is to coach young student athletes to aim for success off the field. Orange Arrow utilizes sports-themed programming to develop life and social skills in youth through off-the-field coaches who are current or former college or professional athletes. Visit their website to learn more about Orange Arrow and their volunteer opportunities.

Infrastructure and ConnectivityFriends of the Riverfront

Friends of the Riverfront works to increase awareness and engagement with the Pittsburgh region’s rivers and riverfronts through activities, stewardship, and expansion of water and land trails. They are tasked with stewarding the Three Rivers Heritage and Three Rivers Water Trails in Allegheny County and are strongly reliant on volunteers to help realize this goal. Visit their website to learn more about Friends of the Riverfront’s mission and volunteer opportunities.

Health & Wellness412 Food Rescue

Food Rescue’s mission is to respond to the disconnect between the fact that we waste 40% of our food while 1 in 6 goes hungry. They aim to address the disconnect in distribution—in supply and access—by rescuing food about to go to waste and directly distributing to organizations that serve communities in need. They are a rapid response organization with a reverse logistics model that utilizes technology to aggregate and match food donors and beneficiaries by mobilizing a dedicated truck and a community of volunteers to efficiently and cost-effectively transport food between locations. Visit their websiteto learn more about 412 Food Rescue’s mission and volunteer opportunities.
