PSL Service Project: Helping Highland Park
October 9, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
As a way to give back to Pittsburgh we will be holding a PSL Service Project! These projects are important because they allow us to give back to the communities that we play PSL games in. Our second Service Project in 2017 will take place in Highland Park!
Highland Park is home to our summer sand volleyball leagues and annual beach tournament. Highland Park is also the recreational home to many of our PSL athletes in the East End of the city. Teams love playing in Highland Park and we want to show that love back to their Community because of it. October is the perfect time to show our support because they need our help in preparing for the cold weather to hit their gardens.
What to Expect:
We will meet at the Highland Park Entry Garden (Intersection of Highland Avenue & Reservoir Drive) at 5:30 on Monday October 9th. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes. We will have some water, but you may also want to bring your own. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt.
The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will be leading the project and giving us the instruction needed to help beautify the neighborhood. We will specifically be working to pull the weeds back and cut plants that are past their prime for the season. Tools and gloves will be provided.
Beer to Follow:
In true PUMP fashion we will head to Social, Bakery Square after volunteers for one complimentary Miller Lite or Blue Moon draft. This will be a great way to come together and reflect after getting dirty!

Please register here to sign the waiver and let us know your t-shirt size.
