PUMPed to Run: Volunteer Meet and Greet with Mentoring Q&A
April 20, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Our PUMPed to Run program is starting back up in 2022 and we need volunteers! PUMPed to Run is a weekly exercise group that meets at local homeless shelters to exercise, de-stress and motivate resident participants. Mentor volunteers can expect to volunteer at the same time each week, meeting at the shelter. We work for the goals of our homeless participants so mentors may walk, run, or do intervals. All mentor volunteers who volunteer for 10 or more hours in 2022 will be eligible for a complimentary race entry to any of P3R’s Marathon weekend events (including their 5k, half marathon, and full marathon).
New and old mentors are welcome to join us for a walk around Allegheny Commons – one of PUMPed to Run’s favorite places to walk.
When: Wednesday 4/20 at 6:00 pm
Where: Allegheny Commons West. Meet at the Thomas Armstrong Statue (Corner of Ridge Avenue and Merchant Avenue)
What: Come join PUMPed to Run volunteers for a walk in Allegheny Commons. You can learn more about volunteering with PUMPed to Run, ask questions about mentoring and the program, meet other volunteers, and check out one of PUMPed to Run’s favorite places to exercise!
Notes: If we get rained out we will cancel the event and ask any interested volunteers to attend our scheduled Zoom volunteer meeting on May 4th at 6:00 PM.
RSVP: Please RSVP below so we know to wait for you for the walk!
Questions?: Email Jaime with any questions!
