Sideline Social: Advocacy + Public Policy Agenda

September 19, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us to learn more about PUMP’s first Advocacy + Public Policy Agenda!

For over 20 years, PUMP has played an important role in this City ensuring that young people have a voice in the future of Pittsburgh. For example we have advocated for the Transportation Bill that is currently funding many of the infrastructure projects around town, the Smoking Ban, and the redevelopment of Market Square, but we have never had an official public policy agenda.

Our advocacy and public policy agenda was developed through a multi-year, multi-step community planning process with hundreds of PUMP members and young Pittsburgh region residents who shared their top priorities for action to create a better region. The issue of equity is present throughout PUMP’s Advocacy + Public Policy Agenda. Join us for a beer or two and discuss the four key themes with us:

·         Diverse + connected region.

·         Equitable opportunities for success

·         Equitable access to health + wellness

·         Active + engaged residents.

All PUMP members receive their first beer on us at Double Wide Grill!
