Squirrel Hill: Port Authority Public Meeting on Updated Bus Rapid Transit Plan
May 3, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Squirrel Hill Public Meeting on Proposed Bus Rapid Transit Service
The Port Authority is hosting a series of public meetings in the next couple of months in the Mon Valley to present their updated plans for its proposed Bus Rapid Transit service and get community feedback.
The meetings will be addressing concerns from riders and state legislators, as the original proposal included the potential elimination of nonstop bus service between the Mon Valley and Downtown Pittsburgh. Port Authority CEO Katharine Kelleman said that the Port Authority is looking to “re-initiate the process,” to ensure that community needs are heard and met by the BRT project.
The Squirrel Hill meeting will take place at 6:30 PM on May 3 at the Squirrel HIll Jewish Community Center.
Who: Riders of the 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D bus routes; Residents of Squirrel Hill and Greenfield; Riders of 71 series route who cannot attend a meeting closer to their neighborhood.
