Uptown: Public Meeting on Proposed Bus Rapid Transit Plan
May 17, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Uptown Public Meeting on Proposed Bus Rapid Transit Service
The Port Authority is hosting a series of public meetings in the next couple of months to present their updated plans for its proposed Bus Rapid Transit service and get community feedback.
The meetings will be addressing concerns from riders and state legislators, as the original proposal included the potential elimination of nonstop bus service between the Mon Valley and Downtown Pittsburgh. Port Authority CEO Katharine Kelleman said that the Port Authority is looking to “re-initiate the process,” to ensure that community needs are heard and met by the BRT project.
The Uptown meeting will take place at 6 PM on May 17 at Paramount Film Exchange.
Who: Riders of the 61 and 71 series routes and others who cannot attend a meeting closer to their neighborhood.
