World Affairs Council’s Second Annual Summit, “Into the Depths: Exploring this Global Moment”

The World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh will be hosting its second annual virtual summit, “Into the Depths: Exploring this Global Moment” on September 28–October 1. The four days of virtual events will include opening and closing keynote addresses, a musical performance, and interactive programs with experts speaking on the Council’s core global issues from the past year: Human Rights, Resiliency, Youth, Immigration, and Governance & Diplomacy. Featured speakers and performers include:
- Alex Amend, Director of Communications at Moonshot CVE
- Lina AbiRafeh, Executive Director at the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University
- Descemer Bueno, Cuban singer, songwriter, and record producer
Ambassador Norman Eisen (ret.), Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at Brookings Institution - Michelle King, Teacher and Learning Instigator
- Scott Shute, Head of Mindfulness and Compassion at LinkedIn
- Amali Tower, Founder and Executive Director of Climate Refugees
