The PGH 2070 Mobility Vision Plan
The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (or DOMI) is developing the PGH 2070 Mobility Vision Plan to plan for an expected population resurgence over the next 50 years and ensure that our transportation future is equitable. Despite decades of population decline, new innovation and development are bringing more people to Pittsburgh, a trend that is expected to continue over the coming decades.
DOMI views PGH Mobility 2070 as “an opportunity for bold and proactive thinking about the future of Pittsburgh to identify the connections and policies we need to ensure that, in a growing city, all residents will have the physical mobility they need to reach the economic mobility they seek.” The plan will also inform DOMI’s actions and investments to achieve progress towards the long-range vision.
DOMI is seeking public input to inform the 2070 Mobility Vision Plan over the coming months. A final plan is expected to be completed by early summer 2020. Learn more about the plan’s background and timeline here. You can also read about the plan in the Post-Gazette.
One of PUMP’s priorities is a region with world-class, multi-modal transportation infrastructure that supports connectivity for all. Help shape the City’s transportation and mobility policies to ensure your priorities and values are addressed.
